Description
Gamma World 1e came out in 1978 as the first science fantasy tabletop RPG. TSR Hobbies (known then as TSR Games) released it.
As time went on, it was considered more of a post-apocalyptic RPG as the story behind how the strange new world had come to be was changed with each edition.
Created by James M. Ward and Gary Jaquet, the core book had a grand total of 59 pages. There are three character types represented — pure strain humans, humanoids, and mutated animals.
There are two categories of mutations — mental and physical.
The rules for the game are very basic and streamlined, using the THAC0 systems of charts and tables.
This is the core book only.
